Ultraviolet (UV) radiation is emitted by the sun and is classified into three primary types: UVC, UVB, and UVA. ITRI has developed the UVC LED Water Sterilizer HydroNovation, which uses UVC LED as a light source to disinfect water. The device activates when water flows through the sterilizer, and is energy-efficient and eco-friendly.
